Reese Witherspoon began seriously pursuing her acting career following taking a class at Stanford University. Following a handful of performances, she was cast in films like Pleasantville as well as Election. In 2003 she debuted as a film star in The Invisible Man. Then she would go on to appear in a number of TV shows, like House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. She has also appeared in two films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. In addition to her acting career she is an excellent painter, and has shown her work in numerous galleries.
