John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music that inspired millions of people. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, Denver fell in over Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's songs that he sang about his adopted state led many to relocate to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame claimed it was because John Denver is the only actor to be a symbol of Colorado. Denver was one of the very initial Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado for people worldwide. While traveling I've met folks from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform them you're from Colorado The first thing they say are Oh John Denver. Brown admitted. Take Me Home Country Roads was the top solo hit after appearing with small folk bands. The song was written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver saw an early rendition he knew right away the track could become one of the top hits. After performing the track at Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver did a song recording just a few days afterward.
