Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated from Mendocino County to California, when she was just seven. There was no electricity. Ryder was a voracious read and often spent her time studying books since there was no television. Ryder began taking classes in acting at American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. She landed her debut role on the large screen in 1986 at the age of 15 old. Ryder was bullied in high school. Her hope was that her acting career would alter the way she dealt with bullying. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. However, it didn't stop her from pursuing dreams. Ryder made her breakthrough with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder continued to play successful roles in various films. In 1993 she received two nominations to win Academy Awards. One of was for her performance In The Age of Innocence.
