Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, the singer has done work across the globe. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta now, Sunshine is originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician by singing and playing in the local church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You the House was released only in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and is the mainstay in her live performance. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she was hired to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine became the focus of interest during four consecutive shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
